The 2010 and 2011/2012 Samsung 3D TVs use a different technology to synchronize the 3D glasses with the 3D TV. The 2010 Use infrared and the 2011/2012 use radio frequency. The signal coming from the TV must match the signal in the glasses for proper functionality.
