Rise of the Hogalum Society is the first part of the Magnetron Chronicles trilogy, the aprocryphal memoirs of eccentric Nineteenth Century inventor Phineas J. Magnetron. Part I consists of the first five novelette-length volumes, all of which are available as individual titles:

• Volume 1 ~ The Last Adventure of Dr. Yngve Hogalum
• Volume 2 ~ Spring-heeled Jack and the President’s Ring
• Volume 3 ~ Escape from Xanadu
• Volume 4 ~ High Crimes and Miscreants
• Volume 5 ~ Luftigel and Doppelgänger

Each of the five individual volumes herein is faithfully reproduced in its entirety, including the provocative prologues, enthralling epilogues, and anticipative afterwords of the original manuscripts. The original chapter numbering is also preserved within each volume to aid future anthropologists in their research.

Additionally, Part I includes The Smiljan Breach, a bonus short story prequel previously available only in the December 2012 issue of eSteampunk magazine. Also included is a collection of several biographical sketches drawn up to flesh out some of the major characters encountered in the first five volumes.
