Revell of Germany 1:72 Heinkel He 219 "UHU"
Detailed 1/72 scale assembly model kit of the Heinkel He 219 Uhu ("Eagle-Owl"), a World War II era twin-engine night fighter of the German Luftwaffe. Equipped with a SN-2 radar, the He 219 Uhu was a capable night fighter, and its high speed, derived from its relatively light-weight, meant that it could even chase down the speedy RAF de Havilland Mosquito. Had it arrived in large numbers, the He 219 may have been able to inflict heavy casualties on the British night bombing campaign. However, like most German wonder weapons in the latter stages of World War II, the He 219 was over engineered and difficult to mass produce. As the result, very few He 219s went into active service, and its impact on the outcome of the war was minimal. This Revell Germany 1/72 scale assembly kit features: Revell historical model kit. Structural surface details. Movable propeller. Undercarriage optionally extended or retracted. Radar antennae. Decals for 2 Luftwaffe versions. 99 parts.
