Respi-Aide Mechanical Peak Flow Meter for Children
The FDA approved Respi-Aide Mechanical Peak Flow Meter is a durable no nonsense mechanical peak flow meter. It measures Peak Expiratory Flow (PEF) to help detect warning signs for asthmatic incidents. PEF is the highest speed at which air can be expelled out of the lungs voluntarily after inhalation. According to standard medical practices, patients with asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and other lung diseases that impair lung function during the day should be equipped with a Peak Flow Meter to help track the data. The Children's Version of the peak flow meter supports measurements ranging from 50 to 300 LPM (Liters per Minute). This device is designed to meet the American Thoracic Society (A.T.S) accuracy and precision standards. This device is designed to allow the patient to test their peak flow measurements so that it can be recorded, tracked, and monitored on a regular basis. With proper physician supervision, this self-assessment tool can assist in the education, management, and treatment of various respiratory conditions.
