Remo Black Suede Powermax Bass Heads are made specifically with marching bass lines in mind - the internal free-floating muffling ring focuses the attack, pitch, and lower frequencies. This head is made of a single 10-mil ply to handle a whole season's worth of notes.

A 7.5-mil dampening underlay further increases articulation for clarity up to the box and eliminates unwanted overtones, while a CS dot in the middle adds serious durability.

The textured Black Suede surface adds warmth to the sound and a soft feel under the hands, and it's non-reflective.

The crimplock rim on this head allows you to crank the tension up extremely high without worrying about it pulling loose.
