Men and women lose their hair as they age. Hair loss is more pronounced in some that in others. ReLuma Hair Essentials are formulated to slow down the effects of aging on hair by helping minimize hair thinning and loss, stimulating growth. Thinning hair and subsequent hair loss are caused by shrinking follicles activated by the hormone, DHT and the cytokine called TGF-beta. ReLuma Hair is formulated to alleviate androgenetic alopecia in two ways: with a mixture of cytokines and growth factors and with minoxidil. Our science leads us to believe that providing a mixture of cytokines and growth factors is important for achieving a natural balance in the scalp and follicle that facilitates hair growth, whereas the deregulation of certain cytokines and growth factors may, like in the case of TGF-beta, lead to hair loss. ReLuma Hair uses minoxidil to improve hair growth, which has proved to be effective in other hair regrowth products. While its ability to regrow hair is not yet fully understood, it is believed that it increases blood flow to the scalp.
