R&R Lotion ICAB-16-ESD IC ESD Safe PreGlove Antibacterial/Antimicrobial Lotion, 16 oz Bottle
The R&R Lotion ICAB-16-ESD IC ESD Safe PreGlove antibacterial/antimicrobial lotion, ESD-safe 16 oz. bottle, helps relieve dermatitis symptoms; is compatible with CHG, and latex and nitrile gloves; and includes 0.5% triclosan to help reduce the number of germs on hands. It is static dissipative for use in clean rooms and electrostatic protected areas, and does not contain glycerin, mineral oil, silicones, or lanolin, any of which may contaminate integrated circuit (IC) boards during manufacturing or handling. It is compatible with latex and nitrile gloves to reduce the risk of glove degradation, and with CHG (chlorhexidine gluconate), an anti-pathogen commonly used in hospitals, to reduce the risk of deactivating interference. This lotion moisturizes dry skin with a combination of ingredients, including the humectant propylene glycol and vitamins A, D, and E, along with succulents such as aloe vera, jojoba, and blue agave. It is made with deionized water, absorbs immediately into the skin for a nongreasy feeling, and is fragrance- and dye-free to reduce the chance of allergic reactions. Because dry skin can reduce the conductivity of grounding wrist straps, and this lotion moisturizes skin without introducing electrically resistive ingredients, it can help to meet American National Standards Institute/Electrostatic Discharge Association (ANSI/ESDA) S20.20 requirements. The lotion comes in an ESD-safe, static dissipative 16 oz. pump bottle for use in clean rooms and electrostatic protected areas. The bottle has an average surface resistivity of 1 x 109 to 1 x 1010 Ω/sq. The pump bottle dispenses small amounts of lotion at a time. The lotion also contains botanical extracts of blueberry, cranberry, pomegranate, strawberry, raspberry, green coffee bean, green tea, grape seed, and acai berry.
Moisturizing lotion is a topical product applied to the skin that contains emollients to soften the skin and humectants to help preserve moisture in the skin. Lotion can be used as a delivery vehicle for medicinal or antiseptic ingredients, to help restore dry skin, or to help preserve normal skin. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is the sudden flow of electricity between two objects in contact or close proximity. Even small amounts of unplanned ESD can cause fires, contamination, or other damage to electrical, manufacturing, or other sensitive processes. ESD can be controlled through the use of electrically conductive or static dissipative flooring, footwear, clothing, grounding wrist straps, and humidity control, among other tools and procedures. Static dissipative materials are less conductive than electrically conductive materials, and provide a slower, more controlled release of static electricity to ground.
