This neat little device allows you to convert a lamp or light fitting bought in a country using Bayonet lamp holders to allow for ES screw bulbs. The converter simply changes the bayonet mount to screw and does not change the voltage. An example would be if you purchased a lovely lamp in London and back home in California, you found that your standard US lightbulb will not fit. No problem, simply use this converter device by placing it into the lamps bulb mount and then screw in your normal lightbulb. Remember that it is then a simple case of changing the plug on the power chord to a US 2 Pin or 3 pin plug. Remember that the example given here is just an example of a simple lamp. You must consult a compitent electrician should you not be sure.
