Prelude to Joy
Violinist David Davidson is no stranger to the music of the church. His earliest performances took place in the First Presbyterian Church in his hometown of Winter Haven, Florida, where his mother often directed the choir and orchestra. David's love for music started at a very young age, and although his influences are very broad in scope, his roots lie in the sacred music of Bach, Handel, and Mozart.
David's love of violin playing eventually led him to solo and concertmaster playing all over the country. After working as an orchestral musician for 15 years, he landed in Nashville and took a prominent position in the recording industry as a violinist, composer, arranger, and producer.
This recording is a reflection of all the influences that make David the kind of violinist and musician he is - lyrical and eclectic with a great love for sacred music of all kinds.
