Because the radio receiver card is an integral part of the unit, the system is much more reliable than others that use an external receiver, which is limited by its corded connection. Just insert this BowensGEM Module into the slot on the back of a Gemini monolight, then fit the included antenna into its own socket on the side of the housing, and now a Gemini can now receive signals from any PocketWizard transceiver or transmitter that has ever been made that use USA-based frequencies.
