Pitsco Super C Wheel (Pack of 100)
The Pitsco 27142 Super C Wheel is a narrow front wheel made of a rubber tire that snaps on to a star-shaped, chrome-finished polystyrene hub, and can be used for building a model carbon dioxide (CO2) dragster. The polystyrene hub is coated with vacuum-metalized aluminum for a chrome-finished look. Once assembled, the lightweight wheel weighs 2.6 grams, which reduces mass and increases the speed of the car, while the narrow tire width reduces friction during a race. The wheel fits a 1/8-inch diameter axle, and its design mimics the look of real dragster wheels. The Super C Wheel is designed to be mounted on the outside of the dragster because the axle does not go through the wheel. Assembly is required. The wheel is made in Pittsburg, Kansas. A wheel is typically used in an educational setting when building model cars or dragsters to study aerodynamics and physics.
