Pitsco Aero Viz Mini Foam Cutter
The Pitsco 36671 Aero Viz Foam Cutter is a compact hot-wire foam cutter that slices polystyrene foam into shapes to test in a wind tunnel or for use in other projects. It has a hot cutting wire made of 32-gauge nichrome wire for precise cuts to foam shapes. Nichrome is corrosion resistant and has a high melting point. Students can use the Aero Viz Foam Cutter to cut shapes for testing in the Pitsco 36620 Aero Viz Wind Tunnel or other standard wind tunnel. The cutter measures 4.5 x 5.5 x 5.5 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) It requires a standard wall outlet for power to heat the cutting wire. The cutter comes with a 100-inch roll of 32-gauge nichrome wire and four foam blocks. A small hot-wire foam cutting tool is typically used for cutting foam shapes, letters, or architectural prototypes.
Science education products incorporate applied math and science principles into classroom and homeschool-based projects. Teachers in pre-K, elementary, and secondary classrooms use science education kits and products alongside science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum to demonstrate STEM concepts and real-world applications through hands-on activities. Science education projects include a broad range of activities, such as practical experiments in engineering, aeronautics, robotics, energy, chemistry, physics, biology, and geology.
Pitsco Education develops K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) curriculum, educational kits, and classroom tools. The company, founded in 1971, is headquartered in Pittsburg, KS.
