Phyllida in Form III (Queen Anne's Book 3)

This bright and clever story opens with a river scene in which Phyllida Shortt is found in company with Small John Silver, the young swan. He is a helpless youngster, and when Queenie Gregson, haughty and rich, calmly takes possession of him, Phyllida becomes annoyed. But when Queenie’s dog attacks Small John Silver, who barely escapes with his life, words fail Phyllida, and Queenie finds herself in the river. At Queen Anne’s these two meet later on, in Form III, and there are stirring events in plenty. Queenie makes her presence felt in many ways, but in the end Phyllida upholds the Shortt tradition and returns in triumph to find a very grown-up and efficient Small John Silver awaiting her.
