Peltor 97079 Combat Arms Earplugs
The first foam earplug, introduced more than 35 years ago, was invented by a young chemist by the name of Ross Gardner, Jr. His early work on energy absorbing resins (E-A-R) commercially introduced in 1972, was the genesis of what later became known as the E-A-R Classic Foam Earplug. The contributions by Ross Gardner, Jr. are still found in 3M Peltor Earplugs today and continue to provide an exceptional combination of comfort and attenuation in hearing protection. Today, the line has been expanded to include various sizes and shapes of foam, pre-formed and noise-activated earplugs.
Hearing loss due to noise is almost entirely preventable by judicious use of hearing protection. A good hearing protector should remove harmful noise, be comfortable to wear, and be able to be used for all types of shooting activities, construction work, and DIY projects.
