When Max Carter discovers Storm Appleton's cattle grazing on his land again, he sets out to give the tiresome woman a piece of his mind. She has constantly rebuffed his offers of help, stubbornly refusing to sell him her ranch to help ease her financial situation, and though it seems as though the two of them have spent half their lives sparring, Max is quietly enamoured with the stroppy redhead.
