Wood block stamps are an ancient Indian cultural heritage handicraft. Whether used to print on fabric, skin, clay, or paper, wood block printing is the oldest method of printing in the world. Each design is hand drawn by the artisan, then each block hand carved, making every piece unique. Much of the wood used is waste wood from furniture makers that is then recycled into picture frames, wood block stamps, or other wooden handicrafts typical to the area of production.
