I€ve never forgotten his handsome, smirking face. I just kind of thought I€d never see it again.

But it really didn€t occur to me that my doctor might be Malcom Werther, my childhood obsession, whom I haven€t seen in years and years. Selfish, inscrutable Malcolm, who used to tease me so mercilessly.

I can see from his smirk and his swagger that the irresistible Mal hasn€t changed a bit. It€s just another joke at ol€ Ashley€s expense, only this time, I€m not going to put up with it.

As a teenager, I knew all too well that there€s more than one way to take advantage of a girl. Maybe now I can make up for being less than a gentleman.

When I bought up all the hospitals in the Florida Panhandle, I knew there was a chance I€d run into Ashley again. I won€t say it was the reason I€ve relocated from England, but I wasn€t exactly dismayed at the thought.

So when she comes into one of my hospitals, I can€t be expected to pass up the chance to pay her exam room a visit. And when I see why she€s come €¦ well, I can€t let just anyone examine her.

Of course, I can€t let her slip away blushing, either. Maybe I€m coming on too strong, but what can I say? There€s no chance in hell that my beautiful little Ashley will turn me down.
