POC, Spine VPD 2.0 Vest, Mountain Biking Armor for Men and Women, Black, LGR
Body armor varies in style and intensity-level for every adventure sport -- each one offering protection specific for a single activity. Often, the intensity overshadows the practicality, and to make matters worse, it's only usable for a singular activity one season out of the year. If your idea of fun is considered terrifying by normal folk, put the POC Spine VPD 2. 0 Vest around your torso for multi-season protection. Enjoy a full freedom of movement while hucking off cliffs into powdery landings, or when speeding around obstacles at the terrain park. The Spine VPD Vest differs from other body armor with its visco-elastic polymer-dough (VPD) plate that conforms to the wearer's back. VPD molds to your body, and protects you by stiffening when force is applied to it. The sudden rigidity ultimately aids in absorbing the energy of a fall, and accordingly, you'll receive less substantial injuires. The plate uses high-density VPD down the center of the spine, as to protect the point most susceptible to injury. Low-density VPD encompasses this area, adding protection to your kidneys and shoulder blades, with it eventually thinning out on the sides to maximize movement. Ventilation holes run along the back plate for maximum air circulation throughout the vest. And to keep you clean, POC has given the Spine 2. 0 an odor-fighting polygiene treatment. For after-use cleaning, the plate is removable, and the vest is also machine washable. The material used for construction stretches to accommodate base layers, and it has a full length zipper to make getting in and out a breeze. Elastic gripper on the hem of the waist keeps the vest from creeping up, and a removable waistband allows you to dial in the fit. The POC Spine VPD 2. 0 Vest is FIS approved for skiing and is only available in the color Black. It comes in sizes Small, Medium, and Large.
