This limited production guitar offers improved acoustic performance and the ultimate in playing comfort at prices lower than ever before. Beyond the revolutionary Contour body, the CC29S-4C also features a solid Cedar top, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, chrome hardware, and Ovation's own OP4BT preamp with on-board tuner. Made from glass-microsphere impregnated Lyra chord composite, Ovation's Contour Bowl is designed to provide maximum acoustic response with the feel of a small-body instrument. Sculpted to fit the contour of the player's anatomy, the lightweight Lyra chord GS body is a joy to hold, whether sitting or standing. A Contour Bowl body has the acoustic projection, midrange punch, and huge bottom end of a traditional jumbo-style instrument, yet offers the playing comfort of Ovation's Super-Shallow body. With its tough-as-nails construction, this body shape represents the latest evolution of Ovation's pioneering Round back design. The popular OP-4BT preamp features 3-band EQ with +/-12 dB control over the bass, midrange, and treble frequencies, and a handy battery status light. An accurate and easy-to-use onboard chromatic tuner works equally well for standard, open, and altered tunings.
