Orchestral Music 2
This second release in a series of orchestral music recordings of the Hungarian composer Ferenc Farkas (19052000) again highlights his musics appealing characteristics: catchy tunes, transparent scoring, buoyant rhythms and a fondness for Baroque forms and folk-dances. Like his teacher Respighi, Farkas adapted Baroque originals for modern performance, with equally attractive and enjoyable results. L¡szl¶ T¶th joins the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra of Budapest in Farkas Trumpet Concertino.
