One Life at a Time is the definitive story of the evolvement of an American spiritual seeker whose journey to India brought him to his Guru, Neem Karoli Baba, who had been introduced to the West by Ram Dass (formerly Dr. Richard Alpert) through his best-selling book Be Her Now. In this multi-faceted documentary, Krishna Das is presented in live performance of Kirtan (chant) filmed in Los Angeles in 2004 and in interviews conducted over a two year period which reveal his history and the stories of his personal contact with his Guru and his transition into what the New York Times has called the "Chant Master of American Yoga". Also included is amazing rare archival footage of Neem Karoli Baba as well as precious exchanges with Krishna Das' friend and mentor Ram Dass and his music producer Rick Rubin.
