Observerships, Electives and Externships. United States Clinical Experience: USCE.

This is the complete list of programs in almost all the States which offer IMGs the various types of USCE as described below is gathered by the ApplicantGuide Team over the years from thousands of IMGs we helped to match in residency programs in different specialties in the United States.

This list is organized into 3 sections:

1-The first section contains the programs which allow obseverships (and electives) in multiple specialties and subspecialties, most of the university programs will provide electives as well, those on the bottom of this section will offer only electives for international medical students (so if you are a medical student and need electives contact the specific programs which we marked as “elective”).

2- The second section are the programs which offer observership in certain specialties only like (but not limited to) Internal Medicine IM, Family Medicine FM, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and gynecology OB/GYN, Radiology, Pathology, Psychiatry, Surgery, Combined Med/Ped, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology and anaesthesiology. Some of them do provide more than one specialty but you need to contact the specific department for that purpose instead of just following the link provided.

3- The third group are programs which offer Externships for IMGs.
