The OREI HDA-712 HDMI to HDMI + Audio Extractor Converter has one HDMI Input, One HDMI output, one SPDIF/TOSLINK output and 3.5mm stereo audio output. It comes with a universal 5V DC power adapter as power supply. OREI HD-712 extracts the digital 2CH PCM stereo audio signal from the HDMI input and convert it to 2CH analog stereo output through its 3.5mm stereo output or up to 5.1ch with SPDIF output. The HDMI output has identical video and audio signals as the A/V signals coming into its HDMI input. User can extract 3.5mm audio signal from the HDMI input for stereo / headphone application and use the SPDIf output for surround receiver. The 3.5mm stereo output has sound only if the audio format in the HDMI signal is 2CH PCM. This is not a decoder, so if the audio signal in the HDMI is 5.1CH surround or above, the stereo audio output will not have sound.
