Danish artist Jane Winther is an woman eternally evolving. With "Now", she invites the listener to travel with her to the one place we all begin and the one place we end - this exact moment. "Now" is the tenth studio album from the hands of this internationally renowned songwriter, who´s earlier releases include the critically acclaimed "Mantra" and "Compassion".
This time around Jane Winthers soulful expression has taken a different path. Recorded in Austin, Texas, the American collaboration is evident in the lyrical compositions, ranging from dusky Americana to a kind of "Himalayan mountainsoul", with a strong Scandinavian twist. However, the otherwise unusual combination of meditative ambiance and folk goes together incomparably well and the result is quite a unique soundscape dubbed, "meditative folk."
With her crystal clear voice and expressive lyrics inspired by the great masters of time, Jane Winther once again relates a message of love and of walking this earth a soulful being, accomplishing the task with such grace, that she rightfully takes her place in the strong line of female artists with something to say, such as Joni Mitchell and Carole King.
