Natural Cactus Amethyst Crystal Cluster Lapidary Display Specimen



Cactus Quartz or Spirit Quartz as some call it or as others call it Magelisburg Quartz from Kwa Ndebele, South Africa.This particular piece is an amethyst crystal cactus quartz variety.

This specimen formed first as a larger crystal plate and at a later time a second generation of amethyst formed on the first crystals giving it a knobby or "cactus-like" appearance. Photos of this type of specimen can not do it justice. The term "Spirit Quartz" refers to those interested in the metaphysical properties this variety displays and is said to have the greatest power and energy
