Native American Style Flute G Scale Extreme Figure Tiger Maple By CBF
Maple wood Maple wood is used to make numerous musical instruments and is particularly popular with luthiers. Maple is somewhat harder than woods such as Mahogany and therefore offers a brighter sound. Maple wood is favored for the back, sides, and neck of most violins, violas, cellos, double basses and many guitars, (acoustic and electric) are made from maple. Maple is also often used to make bassoons and sometimes for other woodwind instruments and Martin Doyle has used maple to make both C and D flutes over the years. Drums kits are also made from maple as they favored for their bright resonant sound. It does not imply that the flutes are made by a member of a Native American tribe. Actually, I am, as most of you are, a "Native American" but not a Native American Indian. . My flutes are made "in the style of Native American" flutes. The CRAZY BEAR flutes are made by me, Robert Carlson, who is not a member of a Native American Indian tribe. I do have 3 tribes represented in my shop, Cherokee,Blackfoot and Mohawk , those workers/helpers currently help with sanding, polishing and one is doing custom carving blocks . Thank you for coming by my site. I hope you enjoy my craftsmanship and artistry. I strive to create flutes with the absolute best tone, intonation and visual beauty possible
