MyDIYCNC USB Solution (Hardware + Desktop App)
Complete 3-axis USB CNC Control Solution Contains a 3-axis CNC USB interface; a microprocessor-controlled board that generates the signals needed to drive your MyDIYCNC Desktop CNC machine under control of FabCAM, our easy-to-use and intuitive desktop software application. Designed for the easiest possible plug-in-and-go configuration and operation of your MyDIYCNC Desktop CNC Machine, this interface can also drive most conventional parallel port CNC machines with standard/KCam pinouts. SPECIFICATIONS: Resolution 4000 steps/in. (1 step = 0.00025") Real-time 3D GCode rendering with pan, zoom and rotate features Keyboard jogging User-defined speed On-the-fly metric/imperial switching Fast GCode load and rendering Available for Windows, MacOSX and Linux systems Includes sample starter GCode files MyDIYCNC USB Solution comes in a billet aluminum case and includes a USB cable, access to tech support and downloads of the latest version of FabCAM desktop CNC application. CNC control signaling via a Db-25 connector. The MyDIYCNC USB Solution is backward-compatible with all past MyDIYCNC CNC Machines, plus other parallel-port CNC machines in need of a USB solution. GCODE COMPATABILITY: FabCAM processes clean, correctly-formatted GCode (i.e., a separate line for each set of coordinates, lines begin with the G command and spaces separate each axis coordinate). We recommend MeshCAM for generating toolpaths for your design work, and the resulting GCode can be saved in FabCAM format. Typical workflow is as follows: Design your object in your favorite CAD software ? export design as DXF or STL format file Load design file into MeshCAM ? Specify the toolpath for your CNC operation ? Save the toolpath as FabCAM GCode Load GCode into FabCAM ? set spindle tip at toolpath origin on material ? Click the Process GCode button FabCAM is also compatible with GCode formatted for Centroid and TurboCNC as they too require correctly-formatted GCode.
