15-denier Ballisitic Airlight nylon is a calendered hollow fiber fabric ideal for use in high performance outdoor clothing. The calendering process makes a tightly woven lightweight fabric more fiber proof and wind resistant. To achieve these desired traits the fabric is run between heated rollers to flatten and "shingle" each fiber. Once a high grade DWR (druable water repellant) is applied the resulting fabric is highly resitant to the elements and incredibly strong for its weight.Sewn Through Construction
