The Mitutoyo 293 series Coolant Proof LCD micrometer has 0 to 1"/0 to 25 mm digital LCD readout with a 0.00005"/0.001 mm resolution for taking outside diameter (OD) measurements. A friction thimble stops turning when the spindle comes into contact with the workpiece providing precise, repeatable measurements between operators. The knob is close to the frame and workpiece, allowing the operator to adjust the micrometer with one hand. The micrometer's electronic microprocessor can hold measurements at any position, convert to absolute value, set a temporary zero position, and return to a true zero reading. The electronics housing is Ingress Protection certified IP65, which means that components are resistant to penetration by dust and debris, and resistant to penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The spindle and anvil have flat measuring faces that are carbide-tipped for wear resistance. A spindle lock helps provide secure locking of the measurement position. The micrometer is powered by a single SR44 silver oxide battery that lasts approximately 1.2 years with continuous normal use (battery included).
The Mitutoyo Digimatic 500-196-20 digital caliper is made of durable hardened stainless steel, has a 0 to 6"/0 to 150 mm measuring range, a 0.0005"/0.01 mm resolution, a 0.075" diameter round depth bar, and uses Mitutoyo's Absolute linear encoder technology, which allows you to set the origin and measure in awkward or difficult locations. This digital caliper has LCD readout and function control buttons on the caliper face, including Origin to set and retain the original measuring point, and Zero/ABS (Absolute Scale) to zero-set the LCD display. The caliper uses an Absolute electrostatic capacitance linear encoder which helps prevent overspeed errors.
