Meriam M200-DI0500 Wet/Wet Differential Pressure Smart Manometer, 0-500 psi Range, + or - 0.05% Accuracy Full Scale, 1/8" NPT Female Connection, Battery Operated

The Meriam M200-DI0500 Wet/Wet Smart portable digital manometer has an isolated differential sensor to compare the pressure between two sources. The meter has a measuring range of 0 to 500 differential psi. NIST traceable accuracy of + or - 0.05% of full scale (FS) is independent of temperature effect at 23 to 122 degrees F (-5 to +50 degrees C). The 1/8" female NPT connection is composed of 316L stainless steel and has Viton O-rings for use with liquids and potentially corrosive or wet gases. Engineering units include inches of water, psi, mm of Hg, inches of Hg, mbar, bar, kPa, kg/cm2, cm of H2O, user-selectable scaling, and square root. The meter can be field-recalibrated for zero, span, and linearity with one- or five-point calibration. Leak test feature allows users to view Min/Max pressure values and calculate the leak rate per minute in pressure units when pressure testing pneumatic systems. Exponential damping has a user-selectable time constant from 0.1 to 25 seconds to minimize the effect of pulsating pressures.

The keypad has a sealed membrane to protect the instrument from contamination, and five dome contact-style buttons to ease operation. The two-line LCD shows 5 significant digits, and has contrast adjustment for use in a variety of lighting situations. The two-stage backlight provides visual indication of over-range measurements. The display can read out in any of eleven pressure units, or can be linearly scaled for user-selectable scaling. The meter has a square root flow function to display flow rate in user-defined units. An adjustable damping feature minimizes the effects of pulsating pressures. A Min/Max function captures the extremes of pulsating or varying pressure signals, and a Hold function freezes the display at any point of interest. Auto Record retains up to 240 readings for future recall. The meter has automatic shut-off at user-selectable times of 10, 20, 30, 45 or 60 seconds to extend battery life. The polycarbonate case is permanently static dissipative to provide ESD protection. The meter includes a rubber boot to protect against accidental bumps or drops.

Manometers measure the pressure of a liquid or gas. They are used in laboratory, medical equipment, engineering, automotive, and heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning applications. Manometers measure any combination of gauge, absolute, or differential pressures. Gauge pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to the ambient pressure, absolute pressure is the amount of pressure in a system relative to an absolute vacuum, and differential pressure is the difference between two pressures. Analog manometers are composed of columns of liquid, and they use gravity and the liquid's density to calculate pressure. Because they have no moving parts, analog manometers do not require re-calibration. Digital manometers have pressure sensors that are connected to a system with a hose to provide a digital readout of the amount of pressure present in a system. They use microprocessors to calculate pressure, and they require periodic calibration to help ensure accuracy.

Meriam manufactures process measurement instrumentation including manometers, pressure gauges and transmitters, hand pumps, and flow indicators for the oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, and automotive industries. The company, founded in 1911, is headquartered in Cleveland, OH.
