The Clario suction pump from Medela is designed to be portable, worry-free, and easy to use anywhere to safely suction the airways. The Clario weighs only 4.4 lbs and includes a carrying case with optional car charger. Models with battery are available for ultimate portability. The Clario features simple controls with three suction settings of 125mmHg, 250 mmHg, and 550 mmHg. Patients can easily connect to the suction pump with only one tube. The Clario has no filters to replace reducing downtime and cost of maintenance. Each component of the pump is easy to clean using boiling water, the dishwasher, or cleaning solution. The Clario comes with a unique threefold hygienic design that eliminates the risk of overflow and internal damage to the pump. The first layer of protection is an overflow valve that discontinues suction if secretions reach the top of the canister. If the valve is not in place, secretions will collect in the SafetyChamber, a self-contained reservoir that provides storage for overflows to prevent internal damage. The last layer is a sealed membrane that protects the drive unit. Three different versions of the Clario are available: Clario AC includes a power supply, soft carrying case and disposable tubing. The Clario AC/DC battery version includes the aforementioned plus battery and charger. The Clario AC/DC Deluxe includes a hard carrying case in addition to the items for the AC/DC model.
