The bracing system offers a tongue and groove join that eliminates the need for glue, staples, or any other means that prevent expansion of the entire frame. Folded corners means the selvage is uncut and sufficient for restretching on the same size frame. Our 12 Raw Cotton provides a strong base for your art. It allows you to prepare the surface with your favorite primer exactly the way you want, without limitations of already prepared canvases. You can control every aspect of the surface before applying the color. Once prepared, it yields a stiff feel to the brush. You can also use bare expanses of the raw canvas as part of the painting itself.
