Master Lock 410KAORJ2KEY Safety Series Padlock for Lockout/Tagout Applications, Orange
The Master Lock 410 Series Zenex lockout/tagout padlock has a nonconductive thermoplastic body that functions in temperatures from -70 to 350 degrees F; retains its key until locked to ensure it is not left unlocked; and has a keyed alike 6-pin tumbler cylinder for security (over 40,000 key codes) with single key convenience for use with multiple locks. "Property of" labels with blank lines for customization and "Danger: Locked Out Do Not Remove" labels in English, French, and Spanish are included. This padlock is part of a lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety procedure required at facilities where a device or energy source needs to be isolated during maintenance and repair. When used according to manufacturer's recommendations, this product is covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in workmanship or materials.
The lock body is Zenex, a UV-stabilized thermoplastic with tensile strength and resistance to corrosion. The shackle is plated to resist corrosion, but non-hardened, as some LOTO procedures require the shackle to be cut with bolt cutters. The lock mechanism is lubricated with a National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified lubricant that meets category code H1, designating this lock safe for use in food processing areas.
*Overall dimensions | 1-3/4 x 1-1/2 x 3/4 inches (44 x 38 x 19.05 mm) (H x W x D) |

Vertical shackle clearance is the distance from the top of the lock body to the farthest point on the inside of the shackle. Horizontal shackle clearance measures the space between the shackle heel and shackle toe. Shackle pull force is tested to American Standard for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F883.
Lockout/tagout (LOTO) safety procedures require that lockout devices meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 1910.147(c)(5) standards for quality assurance. Safety padlocks, also called lockout padlocks, use colors or warning labels to help prevent machine operation or power activation during maintenance and repair. The security level of a safety padlock is measured more by the number of key codes (also called key changes or key cuts) it can offer than by its ability to withstand physical abuse. A padlock with more pin tumblers and higher precision key cylinders has more key codes available, making it harder to pick, and less likely for a large facility to inadvertently give two employees padlocks with the same key code. Keyed alike locks allow one user to open many padlocks with one key. Keyed different means each lock is opened by its own key. Master keyed locks can be opened if the original key is lost or unavailable during an emergency.
Master Lock manufactures padlocks, combination locks, and related security products. The company, founded in 1921, is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI.
