This user adjustable Low Voltage Battery Disconnect unit by Energy Core Products is specially designed for people who use battery systems for solar panels and wind turbines, at RV owners, and at just about anyone who finds frequent use of 12 volt batteries.
The LVD is designed to protect 12 volt batteries from getting damaged/over drained. A built-in microprocessor monitors voltage fluctuations, and the unit automatically disconnects as and when the need arises.
There is no need for the user to reconnect the supply when the voltage is back at acceptable levels, and this is owing to the unit's ability to automatically reconnect. The supply is reconnected when the voltage gets to 1v more than the preset cutoff point. There is up to a five (5) minute delay between switching on/off to stop the load from oscillating. In addition, the cutoff point can be set by the user itself.
Adjusting these settings is fairly simple, and this is done through a dial that is situated at the unit's front end. All that is required is a regular screwdriver, and the dial can then be turned as per the user's choice. The reconnect point, users should know, will always be 1v more than the chosen cutoff point.
The Energy Core Products' Low Voltage Battery Disconnect comes with a limited ninety (90) day manufacturer's warranty.
