Golden flaxseed provides safe, long lasting heat due to the high oil content in each seed. Nursing therapy heat packs are soft and flexible, no hard or sharp plastic edges near these nipples please! Filled to the brim with golden flaxseed, Lovies can be heated in the microwave to provide long-lasting moist, therapeutic heat, or placed in the freezer for a soft cold compress. Moist heat encourages milk flow and helps to unclog a clogged duct. Apply your heated Lovies to the area of a clogged duct, followed by massaging toward the nipple then pumping or nursing. Lovies also come with a removable outer cover that is machine washable (lay flat to dry). Each order comes with two (2) Lovies (one Lovie for each breast or two Lovies for one breast). Each purchase includes a 100% Cotton tote bag. Because Lovies are filled to the brim with golden flaxseed, they are able to retain heat for 10-20 minutes at a time. We recommend heating in 15-30 second intervals and no longer than 1 minute total. For most microwaves, 30 seconds on each side gets them nice and hot.
