Loctite 34931 Light Cure Adhesive, Glass/Metal, 50 mL
Optically Clear. Cures within Seconds. Bonds and Seals Glass to Glass, or Glass to Metal Components. Loctite U.V. Adhesive is a one-part medium viscosity adhesive with an ultraviolet cure system. Tough, durable bonds can be formed with excellent adhesion to glass, metal and some thermoplastics. Ideal for making all glass showcases, glass shelves, furniture, etc. The adhesive cures within seconds upon exposure to U.V. light from a curing lamp to form a transparent bond. This product is cured when exposed to U.V. radiation of 365nm. The speed of cure will depend on the U.V. intensity as measured at the product surface, as well as the coating depth. UV349 has an outstanding ability to cure through large gaps and to cure to a hard, dry surface that is water clear. Color: Optically Clear Contents of Bottle: 1.69 fl oz (50 ml) Net Weight: 1.8 oz (51 g) Additional Product Information: Strength retention on exposure to moisture or humidity is excellent. When cured, it also has a high degree of general environmental durability and resistance to discoloration on aging. Cured adhesive temperature resistance is -65 to 266 degree Fahrenheit (-54 to 130 degree Celsius). Loctite 20162 is a general purpose cleaner/degreaser, ideal for preparing surfaces prior to use of all Loctite adhesives and sealants. For best performance bond surfaces should be clean and free from grease. Note: Ultraviolet curing adhesives require that the bond area be exposed to the ultraviolet irradiation produced by curing lamps. One of the materials to be bonded must be transparent for the U.V. light to pass through. Therefore, glass to glass, glass to metal, plastic to metal bonds will be effective, while metal to metal bonds will not cure. Coverage: Approximate coverage of a 1.69 fl oz bottle; 1/16 inch (1.58 millimeter) bead - 1,000 linear inches (25.4 meters) 1/8 inch (3 millimeter) bead - 250.
