This Legris 0109 series 90-degree elbow is a metric brass compression tube fitting. The 90-degree male elbow fitting, or "ell," connects a tube to a female threaded connection at a 90-degree angle. It has a female compression tube fitting with three-piece construction – nut, sleeve, and body with attached insert – on one end that connects to tubing for a leak-resistant seal in high-pressure, high-vacuum, and high-vibration applications and male British Standard Pipe Taper (BSPT) threads on the other for connecting to female threaded pipes. The BSPT threads create a tighter seal than straight threads. This fitting is made of brass for corrosion resistance, ductility at high temperatures, and low magnetic permeability. Brass can be connected to copper, brass, plastic, aluminum, and welded steel. The fitting has an operating temperature range of -40 to +100 degrees C (-40 to +212 degrees F).
