LEGACY LOST

When the city of Icarus collapses during a series of riots, few survive. Bound to airships and floating castles, the dislocated peoples travel toward the closest and most sympathetic of cities: Celestine.

The voyage is one of six days, and on limited supply. When the Monarch demands a scapegoat for this disaster, Kaizen offers up Neon Trimpot, the turncoat courtier. Opportunistic and cutthroat, Trimpot is nothing if not resourceful, and immediately sets about seducing both of the two women who may be able to sway Kaizen€s decision: the former duchess, Olympia, and Kaizen€s secret sister, Sophie.

Aboard the rebel airship Albatropus, Legacy€s twin sister Coal, raised in slavery and destitution, panics and flees immediately into hiding; it€s not exactly the family reunion for which our heroine had been hoping.

While Legacy combats the mourning of her lost family, her break-up with the young Duke, Kaizen, not to mention cloud harvesting, sky pirates, and giant spiders, she€s almost too preoccupied to recognize the worst traveling issue yet: her boyfriend and best friend, Dax Ghrenadel, has always lived with the aid of an apparatus known as a €œrebreather,€ which constantly cycles through parts. Can he survive for six days without refreshing its equipment?
