Button Stops are placed along wire rope to stop the wire rope from sliding past a certain point. Never use pliers, crimpers or a hammer to compress button stops. When properly applied, sleeves are capable of holding the rated breaking strength of the cable to which they are applied. Stops can hold one third the breaking strength of cable.
