Kay is one of the worlds best selling acoustic guitar with it's distinctive look, classic sound and has attracted many vintage collectors because of it's high quality construction and endurance over the years. The K537 dreadnought is available in various assorted colors and has been upgraded to include today's modern guitar features including: Die cast chrome plated tuning machines (3 on each side) are individually sealed enclosures with permanent lubrication of the internal gears. The tuning machines have a 14 to 1 gear ratio (turn the machine head button 14 times for the post make one complete revolution) which allows non slip accurate tuning that holds the tension of the strings to keep them in tune. German nickel/silver medium frets on the celluloid bound select quality rosewood fingerboard adds durability and easy playability. The slim adjustable mahogany neck includes inlaid pearloid markers to aid in proper fingering positioning. Selected book matched spruce top is laminated and is sealed with a high gloss polyurethane finish-so it doesn't check, crack or yellow. Complete with a celluloid bound body that has X braced top with Kerfed Interior Bracing for lasting construction, clear sharp sound and performance. Equipped with a synthetic bone top nut and compensated synthetic bone saddle. Comes with Black and White bridge pins, and a hand carved Mahogany bridge. Scale Length: 25.5" (648 mm), 20 frets.
