K'NEX Education - Forces and Newton's Laws Set

Off to the races with K'NEX Education! The K'NEX Forces and Newton's Laws Building Set has been designed for students in grades 5-9 to investigate a variety of concepts related to forces, energy, and motion. As students engage in the activities, they will be learning, practicing, and applying integrated process skills. Students will be expected to craft fair test procedures, create meaningful data displays, make reasonable and data supported reports, and analyze their collected data in light of the problem at hand. This K'NEX Education Set includes 115 K'NEX parts, plus a battery, spring and fly-wheel motor, building instructions, and a comprehensive Teacher's Guide, all packaged in a strong plastic tray with a snap-on lid for easy classroom storage. There's enough parts to build 11 vehicles, one at a time, and it supports 1-2 students. The Teacher's Guide provides the information and resources needed to build students' understanding of scientific concepts and channel their inquiries into active and meaningful learning experiences. This set is aligned to STEM standards. STEM Education focuses on science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts taught through problem-solving, discovery, exploratory learning and critical thinking. STEM Education requires students to be active participants in the learning process. K'NEX models offer hands-on opportunities that encourage scientific inquiry, investigation and experimentation. Our inquiry-based lessons challenge students as they build, investigate, problem solve, discuss, and evaluate scientific and design principles in action.
