Jukebox Hits

This 2008 collection brings together Joe Liggins' hits on the R&B and Race Records charts during the most prolific era of his career, primarily comprising his original compositions, including "The Honeydripper", which has been covered by dozens of Blues and R&B artists over the years, as indeed have many of these titles, notably "Pink Champagne". This is an admirable showcase for his versatile talent, which will hopefully highlight his much under-estimated influence on his contemporaries and subsequent generations of Blues, Soul and R&B performers.
