The Special Relic Series from Morrell offers a maple body Pro Series Lap Steel in a unique aged finish that will have you standing out from the crowd! The finish has all of the wear and tear of a steel that has been on the road for years. There are subtle dings and nicks here and there and the silkscreened fretboard is intentionally yellowed to further the weathered look of this lap steel. Get the look and feel of a road-tested vintage lap steel with all the bells and whistles of a new one! This Joe Morrell Pro Series Lap Steel is made of solid maple for added sustain over other woods. It has a slotted headstock and upward facing tuners for easier tuning adjustments and tuning changed on the fly! This 8 string version has a Kent Armstrong Stinger 7 single coil Alnico V pickup. This epoxy design has a 2 core lead and is wound just slightly hotter than vintage to have a smooth warm single coil tone.
