The 690ABS Alto Saxophone features a newly redesigned neck for enhanced projection and improved intonation. The new neck makes the 690 more-free-blowing and more responsive, so a beginner can play with greater ease and spend more time enjoying the instrument. Finished with a beautiful black silver finish, the 690ABS features a brass body and improves upon the Jean Baptiste standard 290 series with upgrades such as fully-ribbed post construction for improved reliability and stainless steel pivot screws to prevent rusting. The instrument is fitted with blued steel springs and high quality Italian pads that make the action light and quick, with a reliable long lasting seal. The 690 series features a beautifully engraved bell, and is available in alto and tenor models in gold lacquer (AL/TL), black nickel with silver keys (ABS/TBS) and vintage-brushed (AVF/TVF) finishes. Lastly, the 690 is packaged with a protective case and an American made plastic mouthpiece.
