The Jancy Slugger uncoated, high-speed steel (HSS) annular cutter set includes 10 annular cutters with 5/8" depth and a 1/2" shank, with one each of the following cutter diameters: 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16", 3/4", 13/16", 7/8", 15/16", 1" and 1-1/16". The cutters create through holes as deep as 5/8" in a range of materials, with best performance in mild steel and structural steel. The set also includes a pilot pin, arbor assembly, hex key, set screw, and a case.
High-speed steel (HSS) is a general-purpose steel that offers toughness and shock resistance, and is compatible with a variety of materials. The cutters have no coating or surface treatment, and the cutting edges can be resharpened for a longer tool life. Each cutter has a 1/2" shank to connect to magnetic drills and drill presses with an arbor assembly (sold separately).
