JJC LH-CP18 Lens Hood and Filter Adapter Set are specifically designed for NIKON COOLPIX A DX-format point-and-shoot camera.

This set is comprised of two parts. The adapter provides a 46mm thread for attaching optional filters. The lens hood is designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering the lens by extending and shading the end of the lens. In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Most importantly, square lens hoods are generally more efficient at reducing flares and ghosting because their shape closely resembles the shape of the photograph. The two parts can be clipped together to attach onto the camera; the lens hood can easily be removed to allow for filter mounting and then snapped back into place on top of the filter.
