Huco 500.19.2424.Z Size 19 Oldham Coupling, Aluminum, Inch, 0.25" Bore A, 0.25" Bore B, 0.75" OD, 0.87" Length
This Huco Oldham coupling has aluminum alloy hubs for corrosion resistance and use in lightweight applications, and the fasteners are made of black-oiled alloy steel for strength and corrosion resistance. The flexible plastic torque disc provides durable, low-friction flexion and accommodates misalignment by sliding between the two axes of the hubs. It can operate in temperatures ranging from -4 to 140 degrees F (-20 to 60 degrees C). This Huco Oldham aluminum coupling is for use in parallel misalignment applications that require zero backlash, such as in actuators, pumps, positioning slides, and other stepper drive applications.
Flexible couplings are used to link two rotating shafts that are not aligned in order to transmit the rotational power, known as torque, from one shaft to the other. Most flexible couplings consist of two hubs and a middle assembly; each hub attaches to a shaft while the middle assembly flexes between the hubs to accommodate the misalignment of the two shafts. Shaft misalignments are generally either parallel or angular and cause complications to transmitting rotational power from one shaft to another in the form of stresses, loads, vibrations, and other forces, which vary from one type of misalignment to another. Flexible couplings are used in a broad range of applications, such as in motor vehicles, conveyors, escalators, agricultural, forestry and mining equipment, aeronautics, robotics and space exploration, among others.
Huco Dynatork manufactures couplings, piston air motors, brakes, clutches, gear boxes and other transmission products. The company, founded in 1965, meets the quality assurance standards of the British Standards Institution (BSI), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), and is based in Hertfordshire, England.
