House of Cards (Hypogonadism and Me: Kallman's and Klinefelter's Syndromes Book 1)
House of Cards is a an autobiography of true life stories. This title is the first installment, it is being published in a series of smaller editions, re-edited from the original and full version that was previously available. My life stories tell about being diagnosed with a little known genetic disorder that falls under the realm of Hypogonadism, how it has permeated many facets of my life while also dealing with life challenges such as a dysfunctional childhood, sexual, mental, emotional, and physical abuses as a child, not "fitting in", school age bullying, depression and anxiety, love and loss, soul searching, questioning life and the "meaning of it all", finding solace and healing through a life passion for writing...
This first volume is an introduction into why I have written my life stories, and my experiences and understanding of KS (Kallman and Klinefelter are both commonly referred to as "KS"). My stories are so much more than a label of a medical condition, but the effects of being born "different" are far reaching and touch upon just about every aspect my life. Having something like KS really can make life more difficult, confusing, and challenging than the normal, and many folks within "normal" lives know that life can already be something of a challenge. People born with such challenges and living through other difficulties of life like myself should know they aren't alone.
We all have a story to tell, I happen to have more than one. My life may or not be so much more "special" than anyone else...just...different. And I am still learning to be okay with that.
