The USS Enterprise NCC 1701, as piloted by Captain James T. Kirk, sought to boldly go where no man has gone before. In its encounters with Tribble, the Gorn and Klingons it made some of the most memorable moments ever seen on television. The original series Enterprise was equipped with thrusters, impulse and warp drives capable of far beyond light speed; warp drives are capable of riding atop the fabric of time and space.
