Holy Mother"Softener of Evil Hearts" Archangel Michael Gabriel ORTHODOX RUSSIAN ICON

This is an original Orthodox icon. The image of the icon is made using a high quality polygraphic machine, pasted on a wooden base. The icons are produced at a Monastery by an official icon maker of the Russian Orthodox Church in the village of Sofrino, Russia. The icon-triptych has a large central part and two narrow wings, panels are hinged together. This triptych features Holy Mother, Archangel Michael and Archangel Gabriel. Consecrate. Virgin''Softener of Evel Hearts'' (Seven-Arrowed) Praising the Infant Savior whom Mary and Joseph brought to the temple old Simeon prophesied about the Theotokos' suffering, "...yea and a sword shall pierce through thine own soul; that thoughts out of many hearts may be revealed." (Luke 2:34-35). This prophecy by Simeon is portrayed by visible symbols - seven swords (or arrows): three on the right side, three - on the left and one below. Number seven means the fullness of grief, sadness and heart pain that the Theotokos suffered in her earthly life. People pray before this icon for pacifying the warring, for softening of evil hearts; it is addressed to with a plea to soften every evil, jealousy, hatred; people get comfort when in grief and pain of the heart, they get comfort in suffering and pray for healing from cholera, lameness and laxation.
